Similarly, I enjoy now much more Ezra and Sabine we're getting I think their dynamic works quite well and I appreciate how they still get frustrated with each other from time to time.Ĭivilian disguises are a mixed bunch for me, but my favourites are definitely Zeb and Hera.
It echoes back to his words in Season 1 in the Lothal Temple and allows the show to come full circle very nicely. I really like how they're focusing on Ezra's desire to help Lothal in this season. The show has come home! Loved the Puffer Pigs coming back, as well as Vizago, Baron Valen Rudor in his swanky new wardrobe, Jai Kell, and the sad tale of Old Jho. Returning characters and plot devices from Season 1 were well received. Really commendable how well they made me care about the plight of Lothal and its people, while also showing us how harsh the advanced stages of Imperial occupation have become. Visuals, score, our heroes traversing the city and commenting on how bad it's gotten. Everything that went into making Lothal the desolate, grim husk of what it once was, was absolutely fantastic. The chase sequence through the sewers was okay, but my favourite bits were both before and after it.
I really enjoyed The Occupation and loved Flight of the Defender. (And Thrawn's "fascinating") I couldn't help but smile at that moment. I'm not that much in this kind of mysticism, but I'm curious where this is going to lead.Įzra's nervous "Hey" and wave to Thrawn. It seems the plotline with the wolves is only the beginning. The defender has shields, there's no point in firing at it, not to mention Sabine couldn't even hit him. I know Thrawn is cool and all but I found it going too far how he just stood there firing at the stolen defender while in its line of fire. I have no idea if they will continue with it but Ezra's words about wanting to stay on Lothal carried a lot of meaning for me. It showed us a glimpse of who Ezra Bridger is. It was nice to see Vizago again as well, loved the mention of Hondo (I like how Ezra is still on good terms with Hondo and trusts him), and the bit of humor with the puffer pigs.įor me personally, this episode defined part of Ezra's character for me. The music in the background gave me chills. Lots of tension, you could honestly feel the despair and hopelessness at the state of Lothal. Good episodes, although I liked the first one more.įirst half of the first episode was great.
